This course has the following areas of study: computer systems engineering; concrete structures; biomedical engineering; environmental engineering; electronic engineering; geomechanics; hydrology and water resources; finite element and numerical methods in structural engineering; optical engineering; properties and processing of materials; and telecommunication engineering.
Entry requirements:
Applicants must have completed an Australian master's degree or bachelor's degree with honours at H1 or H2A level, or approved international equivalent, plus at least three years of relevant professional experience. The English language requirements are as follows: IELTS: 6.5 (minimum band score of 6.0); TOEFL(computer based): 233 (minimum score of 5 in essay writing); TOEFL(paper based): 575 (score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English); TOEFL(internet based): 88 (individual score not less than 22); La Trobe University Language centre: English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at postgraduate level.

This campus is situated on 33 hectares of natural Australian bushland adjacent to the Bendigo National Park, just three kilometres from the centre of Bendigo. It is the University's second largest campus with more than 4000 local and international students studying courses in this regional Victorian city. Bus routes 11 (University) and 14 (Strathdale) connect the campus with the Bendigo Railway Station and CBD. Train and coach services operate between Melbourne and Bendigo seven days a week. A bus service direct to the University from the Bendigo railway station operates each weekday morning and afternoon.
